Course Description
A mechanic's lien is a security interest in the title to property for the benefit of those who have supplied labor or materials that improve the property. The lien exists for both real property and personal property.
This continuing education pdh course will have you study mechanics lien law as applied in the United States. You will be introduced to the history of mechanics liens, who can file mechanics liens, the creation, perfection, and enforcement of liens, the priority of liens, and the protection of real property from liens.
