The purpose of this course is to provide information and guidance on the use of roller- compacted concrete (RCC) in dams and other civil works structures. Elements discussed include investigation and selection of materials, mixture proportioning, material properties, design and construction considerations, construction methods and equipment, Government Quality Assurance/ Contractor Quality Control, and performance.
We will be covering Army Corps of Engineers document "Roller Compacted Concrete" chapters 1-4. In these chapters we will be discussing investigation and selection of materials, mixture proportioning, and properties of roller compacte concrete.2
